The FonJax remote handset service provides mobile content and software developers and quality assurance engineers with the ability to remotely access and control real handsets, operating in live carrier networks via any internet-enabled PC.

A developer interacts with the FonJax PC software client showing an on-screen likeness of the target device on which all buttons, screens, and audio input/output are directly mapped to the corresponding functions on the remote physical device. The developer can remotely control the handset from her PC to exercise all functions, including call-connects, SMS messaging, game play, ringtone playback, push-to-talk, user-interface navigation, and other operations that she would typically test with the device in-hand.

FonJax offers mobile software developers an unprecedented ability to automate their test cases and leverage off-the-shelf software development tools. Through its LookingGlass API, client-driven automation can be run against remote phones in the FonJax inventory, using familiar 3rd party development and test automation tools, or using scripting languages such as PERL, Ruby, Python or VBScript.
