Mark Moore, Founder, CEO and Chairman
Mark Moore directs the company's strategy and operations, with focus on growth
through valuable solutions, customer service, multi-functional sales and partnership
initiatives.
Mark brings more than 15 years of experience in software systems design, architecture, and implementation as well as engineering management experience. Mark has a demonstrated ability to successfully motivate and work with highly technical individuals as well as business oriented people. His key technical skill is delivering complex systems incorporating large software and hardware components on time and within budget. In his most recent position as Director of Engineering for the Wireless Business Unit at Cypress Semiconductor, Mark and his team delivered two complete wireless solutions-- a low cost Bluetooth baseband, and a WirelessUSB chipset. The WirelessUSB project continues to be the cornerstone of the Cypress wireless roadmap. Prior to that, Mark was a founder and VP of Software Development at Alation Systems, providing technical vision and delivering the world’s first wireless network technology and product designed specifically for the consumer market, a Bluetooth-like high-frequency baseband technology. Mark’s technical management helped lead the company to a successful acquisition by Cypress Semiconductor. Prior to Alation, Mark served as Chief Software Architect for Compaq’s complete line of Presario computers. He had primary technical responsibility for the on-time completion and delivery of all software contained on the Compaq retail line of computers. During Mark’s tenure, Compaq became the number one computer manufacturer in the world. He was also a key member of the team that designed and then established the Compaq Consumer Division. Mark began his career programming the Macintosh for Symmetry Software before delivering the PenBook product for the Go pen based operating system at Slate.
Robin Jones, Founder and VP Marketing and Business Development
Robin Jones leads the strategic planning, business and partnership development,
and IP licensing activities for FonJax. She is also responsible for
product marketing, public relations, and corporate communications functions.
Robin has broad experience in the wireless and semiconductor industries, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investment, IP licensing, partnership negotiation, strategic planning and project management. Prior to joining FonJax, she directed the business development team at Freescale Semiconductor’s Wireless and Mobile Systems Group, a $1.6B business unit. While at Freescale, she was responsible for the company’s wireless and mobile M&A strategy, leading to the acquisition and integration of several mobile startup companies. She also executed dozens of strategic relationships with companies such as NVIDIA, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Marvell and DiBcom. Previously, Robin ran the Silicon Valley operations for Motorola Ventures, including due diligence, negotiation, valuation, investment, and board membership for over a dozen early- and mid-stage equity investments. At Motorola, Robin served as project manager within their Communications Sector, managing advanced wireless communications devices for Asian and European markets, including the first smartphone for the Greater China region.
Robin earned her MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BS from Stanford University.
Niall Sweeny, Founder and Vice President, Engineering
At FonJax, Niall Sweeny oversees the software development process and
system architecture design.
Niall has held various technology management positions in the software industry, with extensive experience in internet based and client/server oriented software. He is well versed in software development practices and has proven success in small company environments. Prior to joining FonJax, he was Senior Developer for Navis LLC, in charge of technology changes for their flagship product, SPARCS. As a result of Niall’s work, the MTBF for this product increased from 3 days to 1 month. Other key performance metrics for the application were improved by 300%. Before Navis, Niall was part of the founding team and Principal Developer at CyberArts Inc., a real-time, client/server based online gaming application developer. The application provided for secure online money transactions, including reporting, anti-fraud measures and customer account management with real-time game server integration. CyberArts’ client and server software were designed and developed for both peer-to-peer and client/server topologies, allowing massive online presence using proprietary distributed server technologies on inexpensive hardware. Today, CyberArts’s GameGrid is a profitable online gaming community and the company’s technology has been successfully licensed to many 3rd parties.
Niall earned his Bachelor of Mathematics with Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
